International elephant polo kicks off in Chitwan from Monday, November 28, 2011!!.

The 30th edition of the International Elephant Polo Competition has begun at Meghauli of Chitwan district from Monday, November 28, 2011.
According to organizer Tiger-tops, different eight teams have participated in the competition. 
Out of the eight, two teams are Nepalese teams and the remaining are foreign teams, informed member of the organizing team, Yadav Bantawa. 

Chitwan National Park and Tiger Tops of Nepal and Genghis  Khan of Mongolia, Refty Khukuri of England, Pukkachukka of London, WEPA Legend of Hong Kong, Tiger Tops Tigris of Denmark and EFG of Switzerland and participated in the competition. 
Genghis Khan and Refty Khukuri have been participating for the first time in the competition.
Elephant polo is a game played with a stick and ball riding on an elephant. Players have been gathered in Meghauli for the participation in the competition that will run until December 2.
The World  Elephant Polo Association on the coordination of hotel Tiger-Tops situated in the Chitwan National Park organizes the game annually. Jim Edward had started the game 30 years ago.  This is the sports that is played annually in Nepal and this game attracts lots of tourist from Nepal.
