Former captain of Indian cricket team who is also known
as wall, Rahul dravid was on Saturday named the captain of the Indian Premier
League (IPL) team Rajasathan Royals. He replaces, Australian spinner Shane
Warne, who lead Rajasthan Royals for four consecutive years before announcing
his retirement from the cash-rich event earlier this year. "The wall"
was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 500,000 in the IPL auction held in Banglore
in January this year.Dravid was with the Royal Challengers banglore (RCB) for
the first three editions.
Dravid who was
once supposed to be only fit for test cricket nowadays plays shots all over the
field to adapt himself in the youngest version of cricket. However he has been
already retired from one day international and now just focusing himself in
test cricket for his national team India. Hope He can bring the glory for
Rajasthan Franchise owned by bollywood actress Shilpa shetty with her husband.
