SAFF Championship 2011: Fifth match Nepal Vs Bangladesh (Pre Match Preview)

After a draw against Maldives and Pakistan in the first league match Both Nepal and Bangladesh are looking to win in the second match. While Nepal managed to impress the audience as well as their opponent coach with their games in first match against Maldives and Bangladesh who is one spot above Nepal in FIFA ranking didn't show the usual match they deserve to play against Pakistan. 


   Nepal was Unlucky to draw against Maldives while Bangladesh is lucky to share point against Pakistan. Nepal have lost all their three previous SAFF championship encounters against Bangladesh but English coach of Nepal Roberts is confident that history will not repeat this time.  He further said "we are in good shape after the first match and I am confident of winning all our matches from now onwards."   Though Nepal had good ball possession and control in midfield, they player repeat the same weakness against Maldives and wasn't able to covert the chances into a goal.

Since both team played draw in first match both team are seeking for a win and they may make their way easier for the semifinal. Bangladesh coach is aware of Nepal's strength and said" We were not well prepared so we had to share point with Pakistan". But he is well prepared against Nepal and is ready to improve weakness of the team.  Let's wait for the match to begin and wait for the result to come. Facts about Both team :
  • Nepal are wearing blue in this tournament, and are nicknamed "The Bull" or "The Reds" which is a more appropriate term when they don their home colours - red.
  • Former Chelsea and Tottenham player Graham Roberts has admitted that Nepal defender Rohit Chand is good enough to play in the Premier League.
  • Former Pakistan coach Roberts was appointed to lead the Nepal national team in January for a reported monthly salary of $5000 and $500 for petty expenses.
  • Bangladesh plays it's football at the Bangabandhu national stadium in Dhaka which was earlier home to the national cricket team until the latter had an exclusive venue for themselves in the new stadium called Sher-e-Bangla.
