Nepal has been drawn relatively in a weaker group in the 2012 AFC challenge cup 2012 Scheduled here for March 8 – 10.
Among eight team selected from second round of qualification, the 2006 semifinalist and host Nepal have been drawn in group A along with Palestine, Turkmenistan and Maldives in Group A. While Group 'B' consists of three previous winners Tajikistan, India and DPR Korea along with Philippines.
Nepal who is ranked sixth from the 2010 edition enjoyed the benefit of being host and was given the top rank ahead of DPR Korea. Nepal will play inaugural Match against Palestine on March 8 while Turkmenistan will take on Maldives on Same day.
Top two teams from each group will make to the semifinal match scheduled for 16th of March 2012.
The Final match will be played on March 19. Detail fixture and schedule have been given below though the venue and time is still to be fixed.
