AFC Challenge Cup 2012: Thailand Defeats Maldives In A Friendly Match


Maldives was defeated by Thailand by 0-3 margin in a friendly match played in Chiang Mai on Friday. Thailand opening the firing in the 32nd of the match. They enjoyed the lemon break with 1-0 up.

Thais doubled the tally in 55th minute and sealed the victory in 73rd minute.

Maldives will play three friendly matches in Thailand before moving to Nepal from Bangkok on 6th of March. Maldives is in Thailand tour for  the preparation of upcoming AFC challenge cup 2012.

Maldives is pitted with host Nepal, Turkmenistan and Palestine in the Group-A. DPR Korea, India, Tajikistan and the Philippines are drawn in the other group of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012, which is scheduled to kick-off in Nepal on March 8th, 2012.
