The Philippine National team known as Azkals will face one of Qatar’s professional football club, the Al-Ahli Club of Qatar as part of the 10-day Middle East Camp as a preparation for the upcoming 2012 AFC Challenge Cup to be held in Qatar, today on 13th february 2012.
After a humiliating loss against the U-23 Olympic Football Team of Uzbekistan in a dismal performance last February 11, wherein the Azkals were unable to score a goal against the 3 goals converted by the Uzbeks. The Azkals were rearing to avenge their loss.
The Azkals which is comprised some European footballers who were coming a day or two before the competition, the Azkals have a problem with regards to their teamwork.
The primary concern now for the Azkals is to compensate the loss of their midfield or the incapacity of their midfielders in terms of defence as well as the remaining four defenders of the Azkals who were unable to play at their best.

The Azkals will now play against a professional football team which is well-known in Qatar as well as the Middle East, the Al-Ahli Football Club. The Azkals needs to cope up with their defense.The Philippine Team find it difficult to defend the ball especially with the brilliant passing made by Uzbekistan, a team that is well-prepared enough for the friendly match which used the game as a warm-up for their preparation against Iraq U-23 squad both vying for a ticket to the 2012 London Olympics.
The Azkals is now in Qatar to face one of the football team in Qatar that competes in the Qatar Stars League. Although the team is not so popular having ranked at the bottom of team standings at number 11 spot out of 12, the team is still a treat for the Azkals.
Al Ahli is the oldest sports club established in Qatar. The squad have been one of the toughest club during the 70′s and 90′s in wherein they were able to captured four championships in the Emir of Qatar Cup and having represented Qatar to the AFC Asian Winners Cup.
