AFC Challenge Cup 2012: Maldives' New Minister Promises Monthly Salary to the National Players


Maldives new minister for Human Resources, Youth and Sports Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu) has promised monthly salary to the National football players. Speaking with Maldivesoccer.com, newly appointed Minister Shareef said, "I have heard this issue. I have also received some comments regarding this matter. I am looking for permanent solution for this. I will work on it". 


Minister, however, didn't reveal how much money will be provided to the players as monthly salary.

Minister also vowed that he would work on the availability of football pitch for the premier division teams.

Maldives are grouped with Nepal, Palestine and Turkmenistan in Group A of AFC Challenge Cup.  Maldives is also planning the Thailand trip before they will reach kathmandu.
