Safal Pokhara Cup 2069: Safal pokhara cup to begin from 14th kartik ( schedule, Fixture and results)

2nd Safal Pokhara Cup 2069 is set to start from 14th of Kartik in Pokhara Rangashala after the end of biggest nepali frstival dashain. Altogether 12 teams will be taking part in the Safal Pokhara Gold cup 2069. There will be 9 domestic teams and 3 international teams (from India, Bhutan and Bangladesh). The 9 Nepalese teams to take part in the Pokhara Gold Cup are Nepal Police Club, Manang Marsyangdi Club, Himalayan Sherpa Club, Friends Club, NRT, RCT, APF, Machindra Club and Pokhara XI. 
     All the preparations are over and the inaugural match will be played between NIBL Friends Club and Armed Police Force. 3 Foreign teams and LH MMC have gone through to next round while Pokhara XI and NRT will play on 15th for a place in Quarter final. Similarly, NPC will face Machhindra and RCT will play Himalayan Sherpa for quarterfinal berth. The teams from Calcutta and Bangladesh are yet to be finalized.

    The Quarterfinal round will start from 18th with LH MMC playing winner of Friends vs APF. Bhutanese team Druk Pol FC will be playing the winner of Pokhara XI vs NRT while the winner of Machhindra Vs NPC will play with team from Calcutta. The final QF match will be played between Team from Bangladesh and winner of RCT vs HSC. The fixture of Semifinal round is yet to be published. 
         This is the 2nd edition of the tournament and the winner of the previous edition is Dhanmundi Club from Bangladesh. This is one of the highest prized tournament outside the Kathmandu Valley. The winner of this year's tournament will take home Rs 305,000. The runners-up will receive Rs 150,000. There will also be individual prizes for best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward, coach, highest scorer as well as best player of the tournament. The tournament will be held from Kartik 14, 2069 to Kartik 25, 2069.

Kaski District Football Association has predicted an expense of Rs 55,60,000 for organising the tournament. This will be a great chance for football lovers in Pokhara to watch top teams in Nepal compete against each other just after the festive mood of Dashain.
