Nepal Cricket team Tour of India: Nepal defeats Dronacharya in practice


After two consecutive defeats Nepal national cricket team defeated Dronacharya Club, Greater Noida by nine wickets in a practice match played today at GreaterNoida Cricket Ground, Noida, India.
Dronacharya Club after winning the toss, opted to bat first and scored a low total of 73 runs in 28.5 overs. Rahul Vishwakarma picked up three wickets for Nepal. Basanta Regmi and Ramnaresh Giri shared two wickets each while Amrit Bhattarai and Shakti Gauchan grabbed wicket apiece.

In reply, Nepal chased the target in just 11.5 overs losing only Subash Khakurel for 28 runs. Anil Mandal remained unbeaten at 34 runs off 37 balls with six boundaries while Sagar Pun was not out at 9 off 6 with two fours. Khakurel hit three fours in his 28 balls innings. Anurag Pandey got the only wicket for the home side.
Nepal National Cricket Team is in Delhi as a part of preparation of the ACC T20 Cup and the ICC World Cricket League Division 3. Nepal have so far recorded two victories and faced two defeats in their Delhi tour.
Nepal will be playing a Twenty20 match with DDCA ‘A’ Team on Friday.
