Yuv Raj Singh to lead Pune Warriors while Gambhir to lead KKR!!! & Virender Sehwag to lead Delhi Daredevils

As the countdown for fourth seasons of IPL T20 had begun early different teams started choosing their captain for the tournament. Yuvraj Singh was Tuesday named the captain of Pune Warriors for the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Yuvraj, who is having a good World Cup so far, is one of the four domestic players in the side. The other three are Ashish Nehra, Robin Uthappa and Murali Karthik.

"The 30 member Sahara's Pune Warriors squad will be lead by Captain of the team Mr. Yuvraj Singh," said a Pune Warriors release.

The new franchise also bought 10 foreign players during the IPL auction. Some of the international cricketers include South African captain Graeme Smith, Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Matthews and New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder.

The major chunk of the 30-member squad comprises 16 uncapped players from the domestic circuit. As Yuvraj Singh is seeing doing role as all-rounder in the ongoing ICC world cup and regaining the form. I wish him great success ahead as a captain

 In other news, Kolkata Knight Riders Monday named India's star batsman Gautam Gambhir as its captain for the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting next month.

 "We are delighted that Gautam Gambhir will be leading our team," KKR chief executive and managing direct Venky Mysore said in a release.
 
 Mysore termed Gambhir as a “thorough professional” whose performance and leadership qualities speak for themselves.

 Gambhir said it was an honour to lead KKR. ”It's a pleasure and an honour to lead the KKR team. I am looking forward to the season and feel very optimistic," he said.

 KKR purchased Gambhir for a record Rs 11.04 crore in the IPL auction at Bangalore in January.
 It was previously declared that India's dashing opening batsman Virender Sehwag will lead the Delhi Daredevils in the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 32-year-old Delhi opener has been part of the Delhi Daredevils since the IPL began in 2008. Under his leadership, Delhi Daredevils reached the semi-finals in the first two editions of the IPL and also topped the league stage in 2009.

Sehwag said he was looking forward to taking the Daredevils to new heights in IPL-4.
"For me there cannot be any other team than Delhi Daredevils in the IPL. As someone who grew up playing cricket in Delhi I am very proud to be playing for the Delhi Daredevils. I am delighted to be part of the Delhi Daredevils and lead the team," said Sehwag.
