Nepal lost to India in the thrilling semi-final match under the U-16 SAFF Football Champion played at Dasrath Stadium, Kathmandu, Monday evening.

The match was decided through penalty shootout after they ended in 1-1 draw. In the tiebreaker, India netted four goals against Nepal’s three.

Nepal led the match with Rishi Thapa Magar’s goal in the 19th minute. India equaled the match with Nitin Jayal’s goal in the last minute of the 4-minute injury time.

With the victory, India with face Pakistan in the final match. Pakistan entered the final, thrashing Bangladesh 2-0.
