Nepal national cricket team defeated Islam Gymkhana by 31 runs.


Nepal  senior cricket team defeated Islam Gymkhana by 31 runs to keep up the winning streak to 5 matches off the Mumbai tour.
Winning the toss, Islam Gymkhana invited Nepal to bat first. With an influential century from Anil Mandal, Nepal put up the big total of 206 runs losing  4 wickets in 20 overs. Mandal played 55 balls to complete his century. He hits 11 fours and 6 sixes. Mandal remained not out with 107 runs in his 58 ball inning.
Once again, the opening department looks weak  as Subash Khakurel was bowled by Kamran Khan for 7 runs while Pradeep Airee was out  for 12 runs.

Skipper Paras Khadka made 19 runs while Sharad Vesawkar was bowled for 13 runs. Vesawkar added a six while Khadka hit two boundaries.
Binod Bhandari remained unbeaten at 36 runs from 16 deliveries with two fours and three sixes.
Kamran Khan, Virag Shah, Prem Salvi and Shoeb Khan of Islam Gymkhana grabbed a wicket each for the home team.
In reply, Nepal restricted Islam Gymkhana to 175 runs in loss of 9 wickets off the maximum 20 overs. Krishna Karki figured 4 for 34 runs to keep Nepal in a stronger position. Amrit Bhattarai, Chandra Saud, Basant Regmi and Sanjam Regmi took a wicket each for Nepal.
For Gymkhana, Sarfaraz Khan scored 53 runs off 36 balls hitting four fours and three sixes. Kamran Khan scored 41 runs of 19 deliveries with three fours and three sixes. Prem Salvi remained not out at 16 hitting a four and a six. Tausif Sayed and Virag Shah contributed 15 runs each. Both of them hit three fours each.
Nepal National Team is in Mumbai for practice ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2012 Global Qualifiers to be held in UAE in March.
Nepal will play against Police Gymkhana in T-20 Match on Thursday.
