Ten Test playing Nations will automatically qualify for the world cup and it was been decided that Only ten test playing nations will play ICC World cup 2015 but after protest and considering the performance of Ireland and Netherlands in previous world cup The International Cricket Council (ICC) retained the 14-team format for the 2015 World Cup, succumbing to pressure from non-test playing nations who will have four representations in the elite 50-overs tournament. At the ICC Chief Executives' Committee meeting in September 2011, the ICC decided on a new qualifying format. The top two teams in the ongoing Intercontinental One-Day Cup - an eight-team tournament that runs till October 2013 - will also go through to the World Cup. Eight team that are taking part in the Tournament Comprises of Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands UAE, Afghanistan,Namibia, Kenya and Canada.
The six remaining teams will join four others from the World Cricket League (teams placed third and fourth in Division Two namely Hongkong and Papua New Guinea, and those that finish first and second in Division Three that comprises of Uganda, Bermuda Italy Oman, Nepal and USA in a qualifying tournament, with the finalists making it to the World Cup.It will be the final event of the 2009–13 ICC World Cricket League. It will be staged in New Zealand after Scotland relinquished the right to host it.While the ICC Intercontinental Cup One-Day will be held on a home and away basis .In another promising sign, the ICC re-branded the Intercontinental Cup One-Day and renamed it the ICC World Cricket League ODI Championship.
So the way for nepal to the world cup will only Open if they will come in top two of ICC World crickett league division three that will be held in April 2013 in Bermuda. That won’t be easy for Nepal but that won’t be impossible for nepal to be ib top two position considering nepal performance in ICC world Cricket league Division 4 and ACC Trophy Elite Cup. If Nepal will come as Top two team than Nepal will play against other teams that will comprise of Hongkong, papua New guniea and other six teams that comes last in the Intercontinental Cup.
