Nepal continued its winning form as they defeated Talwar
Cricket Club by six wickets in a friendly practice match played today at Manav
Rachana University Cricket Ground, Hariyana. Nepal
after winning the toss, opted to field first in a twenty overs per side game.
Shahbaz scored 40 runs off 25
balls to put the team’s total to 142 runs for nine wickets. Ishan Makkar 30,
Aakash Shethi 22, Dinesh 12, Rajan Dagar 11 and Ajay Anand 10* were some other
contributors.
Pradeep Airee and Manjeet
Shrestha grabbed two wickets each while Jitendra Mukhiya, Amrit Bhattarai and
Sagar Pun claimed a wicket each.
In reply, Gyanendra Malla
remained unbeaten at 54 runs off 36 balls to guide team to an easy win. Malla
hit eight fours. Sagar Pun added 36 off 28 with three fours and two sixes while
Manjeet Shrestha was not out at 27 off 12 balls with three boundaries and two
sixes. Binod Bhandari also added 14 runs. Dalip Gautam and Shahbaz added two
wickets each for Talwar Cricket Club.
Nepal
National Cricket Team is in Delhi tour as a part of preparation to ACC Twenty20
Cup to be held in Kathmandu later this month and ICC World Cricket League
Division 3 to be held in Bermuda last year.
