AFC U14 Championship Group C Qualifier: Tajikistan qualify for the Championship

Tajikistan qualify as the group winners of Group C as second half decider from Muhammadiev Asliddin did the work for the winning team. Tajikistan opened their account early in the game as they were awarded with penalty kick in second minute of the match. Fuzaylov Ziyovuddin scored the penalty in second attempt as Indian match referee Vairamuthu Parasuraman suggested to retake the kick.Tajikistan stopped couple of Afghanistan attacks in 24th minute of the match as keeper Azizov Daler’s diving effort awarded corner kick to Afghanistan who were near to the goal, had Huvaydo not saved the ball on goal line, Tajikistan would have lost their lead.

      The comeback was possible before the end of first half as Omid Haidar made the comeback just before the first half whistle.Second half started with Tajikistan full conscious about their position. Tajikistan needed the win as draw would favor Afghanistan.Tajikistan continued their attack as their 50th minute attack was denied by crossbar but two minutes later Tajikistan took the lead as Muhammadiev Asliddin made the final impression in the game.Tajikistan follow Group A winners Iraq and Group C winners Saudi Arabia in AFC U-14 Championship 2014 while remaining group winners are yet to be decided.Bhutan are hammered by both their previous opponents as they started their qualifier matches with a devastating 15-0 loss to Tajikistan while Afghanistan hammered them 14 goals.With youngest team in the group and physically shaky players, Bhutan look to stop host Nepal in small margin, however Nepal look to end up the carnival with style.Nepal lost its first match against Afghanistan 2-1 after not being able to keep the first half lead while second must win match was ended up as a draw which shattered the hopes.
