National cricket team off to Sri Lanka for practice Match

The Nepali National Cricket Team left for Sri Lanka on Thursday to play some practice matches in preparation for the ACC Emerging Teams Cup Cricket Tournament to be held in Singapore from coming August 17 to 25. Nepali team led by Coach Pubudu Dassanayake and Captain Paras Khadka will play practice matches against the Sri Lankan U-23 team and a provincial team in Sri Lanka during its 14 days stay in Sri Lanka.The team led by captain Paras Khadka will be in Sri Lanka until August 16 before flying to Singapore.

Other members of the team are Gyanendra Malla (vice capt.), Sharad Bheswakar, Abinash Karna, Prithu Banskota, Shakti Gauchan, Rahul Biswakarma, Basant Regmi, Ramnaresh Giri, Pradip Giri, Sagar Pun, Binod Bhandari, Chandra Saud and Anil Mandal.
  Likewise, the reserves comprise Amrit Bhattarai, Sanjam Regmi, Naresh Budhayera and Mahesh Chettri. Nepal´s Sri Lankan coach Pubudu Dasanayake is accompanying the team along with members of the team management.
In the tournament to be held in Singapore, Nepal has been grouped with India, Pakistan and Afghanistan in Group A. Group B comprises Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the UAE and host Singapore.
