Nepal tour of Bahrain: Nepal Goes down against Bahrain U-23 on a friendly match

Nepal National team played their first friendly match against Bahrain National team in Manama and lost the battle by 3-0. Nepal is in the preparation camp in Bahrain for 10 days after which they will travel Kuwait. The preparation is going on for forthcoming SAFF championship which Nepal hosts from first September. Nepal National Team played much improved game in the second half but faced 0-3 loss at the hands of Bahrain Olympic Team in a friendly match at Al Ahly Stadium, Manama, Bahrain on Wednesday evening. Abdhullah Shalal scored a brace for Bahrain U-23 team.
Goalie Kiran Chemjong didn't seem in good touch as he committed mistakes for two goals. 


Nepal are preparing for up-coming SAFF Championship scheduled on August 31- September 10 while Bahrain Olympic Team is preparing for forthcoming Gulf Cup kicking off on August 15 at home.

Nepal National team - which is on 10 day camp in Bahrain - got an early jolt when they were tamed by Bahrainis and conceded goal in 15th minute.

Abdhullah Al Shalal stunned supporting Nepalese crowd at Al Ahly Stadium with a tricky shot. Goalie Kiran couldn't read the ball well and Nepal were pegged by a goal down.

Nepal National understood the situation and played much better game thenafter. However, they conceded second goal midway and conceded another goal in 90+1 when goalie Kiran Chemjong failed to get hold on the ball properly. Abdhullah Shalal again scored for Bahrain U-23 which is preparaing for Gulf Cup.

Nepal will now play against East Riffa Club in another friendly match on August 13.
