SAFF Championship warm up 2013: Live update of Nepal Vs Bahrain U-23

As we all know that Nepal national football Team is in Bahrain to prepare for the upcoming SAFF Championship 2013. Nepal is schedule to play international Friendly match against the Olympic Team of Bahrain. The friendly match will also be beneficial for the hosts as they prepare to compete in U-23 gulf cup which they will host starting August 15. Bahrain U-23 team will be in good shape after they recently finished up closed camp in Turkey and their recent win against Turkish side Bingol. Abbass Al Sari and Kumail Al Aswad got in the scorecard recently for the team in 2-1 win over Turkish side. Nepal National Team in the other hand has been hungry for victory after failing to qualify for AFC Chalenge cup final, playing the qualifiers at home. The match will bring hope to Jack Stefanowski and Richard Orlowski, coaches duo as they are yet to win any competitive match since they were handed over Nepal National team back in January. 


Bahrain U-23 coach Anthony Hudson remains focused ahead of Nepal friendly match scheduled on Wednesday 9:30 local time at Al Ahly Stadium in Manama.

Hudson, who is preparing his team for forthcoming Gulf Cup, said that he was happy with the team's performance for Gulf Cup. Bahrain U-23 are just back from turkey where they played two friendly matches against turkish Super league sides.

"I'm happy with where we are but these coming days are crucial for us to affect certain areas and tidy things up," Coach Hudson told the GDN."We are just focusing on ourselves and making sure we are ready, fit, organised and as strong as possible."

"We now prepare for our Nepal game and will try to play one more friendly game for our second team on August 10," Coach Hudson said."We've got some pre-existing injuries to key players and we hope and will try to have these available for us by the time we start [the tournament]."
    The Bahrainis have been drawn alongside the UAE and Kuwait in group 'A' for the preliminary round of the Olympic Teams Gulf Cup. Group 'B' features Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.
