ACC Trophy Elite Final: Nepal and UAE shared Trophy after the Final was tied

Nepal after coming to reach the huge Total started Brillinatly well as the Opening partner ship between Anil and Subash was 94 until it was broken by Saqib Ali. Subash scored 55 of 74 balls while anil scored 44 of 67 balss before he returned pavillion as first man to leave for nepal and on quick sucession suabash was also out but again captaina nd Vice capatain played brillinatly before they return to pavillion in difference of three balls of Ahmed Raza. Then after Nepal looks in trouble but the junior boys like Sharad, pradeep, and Bowling sensation Shakti rescued Nepal from loss and reach equal the target by scoring one run in last ball and 11 runs of last Over.
As there is nothing to separate the teams. It ends in a tie. The trophy will be shared between the teams and here Nepal and UAE will be announced as winner and Trophy will be shared but . Lots of performances from the game that can be remembered for a long time. Khurram Khan's half-century, Saqib's century off the last ball of the UAE innings. Opening partnership of Nepal, the partnership between Malla and Paras. How important was that six by Gauchan?
Saqib is the Man of the match for his brilliant century and Paras Khadka, the Man of the series for his consistent performances with the bat and the ball.
Nepal won the toss and elected to field first as they did that in League match against UAE in same ground but this time UAE despite of poor start made the fighting total of 241 though they lose 4 wicket early. The credit should be given to Khurram Khan and Saqib ali for their half century and half century . Saqib score Century remaining not out on the last ball of the inning scoring four . UAE scored 241/6 in allotted 50 Over and the main contribution was from Khurram 61 of 79 balls and Saqib ali 101 of 103 balls. opener Abdul Shakoor scored 20 and Rohan Mustafa 21 of 23 balls at end.

Nepal enters the Final of ACC Trophy Elite, to play Final against UAE
As expected Nepal won against the arch rival Malaysia in the semifinal of ACC Elite trophy 2012 by 21 runs. Nepal repeat the spirit in the tournament once again to beat Malaysia to reach the Final. Nepal was asked to bat first as the match was reduced to 45 overs due to delay in start. Nepal started poorly loosing two wicket in quick succession as Nepal was 21/2 in 6.2 over when both opener returns pavilion with out putting much score on scoreboard, but once again the captain and Vice captain did well and put 112 runs partner ship for 3rd wicket . captain Paras made 89 from 96 balls while Vice captain gyanendra malla score 34 of 60 balls before he was run out. Nepal once again look in trouble as both the set batsman were out but Sarad and Prithu baskota scored 37 and 34 respectively to set the good target for Malaysia as Nepal score 241 /9 in 45 over.
In return Malaysia started well though they lose first wicket just for 11 . Then the partner ship grew well and Malaysia Once look in comfortabble position to win as the partnership between Suhan and Shafiq was on but Nepal come back as the basant break the partnership by taking the wicket of Suhan and Nepal come back in the match. . Pick of the Bowler for Nepal was Prithu baskota as he took three wicket. Amrit was economical and once again broke the opening partnership but he looks trouble and can’t complete his 4th Over. Shakti took two wicket and Paras Khadka and Bhuwan took each wicket each and restrict malaysia for 220/9 in 45.0 Over. Malaysia will now play the play off against Afghanistan.
While ottehr senifinal pplayed today UAE shoked Afghanistan the team that just returns from Srilanka after playing ICC t20 world cup by beating by eight wicket after restricting Afghanistan for just 70 runs.

UAE though top the point table on the basis of run rate had to stay on the second position behind nepal on head to head basis as they has lost their league match against Nepal. Nepal cricket team enters the semifinal of ACC Elite cup after winning their last league match against Hongkong in UAE by 125 runs. Nepal after winning the toss chose to bat against Hongkong and made the total of 225 though they started slowly.Nepal loss its first wicket when there was no run on score board as Subash returned pavilion for 0. These time also Nepali bats man showed some patience and made 72 runs for second wicket between gyanendra and Anil until gyanendra fall for 28. Anil manadal scored 37 and this time also Captain played well to score 61 of just 54 balls. Other batsman contributed well from their side.

placed along with UAE, Hongkong, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait In Group B. While
defending champion Afghanistan, Malaysia, Oman Bhutan and maldives were Placed
in Group B.

Nepal National Cricket Team to Leave for UAE to Play ACC Elite Trophy today!!!
Nepal Cricket team leaves for UAE today to play ACC Elite Trophy 2012 ,that is scheduled to be held from October 3-13. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Saturday gave farewell to the National Senior Cricket Team in a function in CapitalSpeaking in the function, coach Pubudu Dassanayake said “The preparation had been good and we can expect a good result.” This is the real test time for us and we need to prove it once again. We hope to continue the winning streak. We will play against quality teams like UAE, Hong Kong, Oman and Afghanistan, so it will be a good tournament for us, he added. UAE, Afghanistan Oman and Hongkong are placed in Higher Division than Nepal in ICC world Cricket League. This match will be useful for Nepal as Nepal is playing division III in April Next Year.
Extending wishes, the president of Cricket Association of Nepal(CAN), Tanka Angbuhang said “The players need to boost up their morale and play for their and national pride. The performance they showed during the ICC World Cricket league Division 4 was highly appreciable. So you need to keep the same spirit.”

Meanwhile, CAN also awarded the players who were the part of the ICC World Cricket League Division 4 Winning Team with cash prize of Rs. 30,000 each.
There is also a change in the Player as Rahul Bishwokarma and Chandra Saud withdrawn their Name. Bhuwan karki and Binod Bhandari replaced two players and will be part of the Team in ACC Elite Cup 2012.

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the squad for the ACC Elite Cup on Monday.
After the wonderful win by Nepalese cricket team in senior Level at Division Three, once again Nepalese team is eying for another important Trophy where Asian non test playing nations wll compete. CAN has announced the same team that clinched the title of ICC World Cricket League (WCL) Division 4 for the upcoming ACC Elite Cup 2012.. The squad comprises captain Paras Khadka, Gyanendra Malla, Sharad Vesawkar, Amrit Bhattarai, Shakti Gauchan, Basanta Regmi, Sanjam Regmi, Rahul Kumar Vishwakarma, Pradeep Airee, Anil Kumar Mandal, Prithu Baskota, Chandra Saud, Binod Das and Subash Khakurel.
Bhuwan Karki, Avinash Karn, Binod Bhandari and Krishna Karki has been kept as reserve. Mahesh Chhetri has been dropped from the reserve list while Mehboob Alam was once again not listed.
