ACC Twenty20 Cup: Nepal cricket team to leave for India to play Practice Matches

Nepali National Cricket Team will be traveling to India tomorrow for practice matches ahead of ACC T20 Trophy and ICC World Cricket League Division 3 to be held in kathmandu and Bermuda respectively. 

“Nepali team has a busy schedule this season and for that purpose we need to gear up and have a good form to meet our challenges”, Coach Pubudu Dassanayake told. “We are good in bowling and fielding and recently Batters have shown good temperament and confidence in the recent tournaments. We still need some exposure in batting so the focus will be more on batting on this tour”, he further added.    Players were on the close camp for the last five weeks at Tribhuvan University Ground, Kirtipur and will be traveling to Delhi to play 10 matches. They will play 4 One Days Matches and 6 T20s against the Academy and Clubs. 

18 players has been selected for the tour and Coach is confident and excited to see the boys being exposed with the local teams. Captain Paras Khadka, Wicketkeeper Subash Khakurel, Sagar Pun, Gyanendra Malla, Prithu Baskota, Pradeep Airee, Binod Bhandari, Basanta Regmi, Sarad Veswaskar, Shakti Gauchan, Chandra Saud, Amrit Bhattarai, Sanjam Regmi, Manjit Shrestha, Anil Mandal, Rahul Viswakarma, Jitendra Mukhiya & Ramnaresh Giri are in the squad. 

According to the schedule provided by Can Nepal National Cricket team have the following schedule in India, but sources have not given any information about the quality of the teams Nepal is playing.

The ICC Development Committee has approved that Samoa would host Pepsi ICC Division 8 2012, to be held from Saturday September 15 – Saturday September 22, 2012.  Participating teams had already  reported to Samoa on September 13. anatasports.com is bringing you the schedule and fixture of ICC world Cricket league Division VIII 2012. Teams taking part in the Division 5 are decided by two teams that had relegated from the Division VII and they are Norway(Vth) and  Japan (VIth). Other team was the team that remains third in last edition of Division Eight Vanuatu. Other Teams are the Regional qualifiers  who topped the regional qualifiers and they are Samoa(East Asia) Bhutan(asia) Ghana(africa) Suriname(america) and Belgium(Europe).
