Raina, Jadeja involved in heated argument over dropped catch

Indian players Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina were involved in a heated on-field argument over a dropped catch during India's tri-series match against the West Indies yesterday.
India crushed West Indies by 102 runs via Duckworth-Lewis Method in a rain-curtailed match but the ugly incident involving the duo seemed to be a blot in an otherwise facile win.
The video footages of the incident had been posted on the Youtube and has got several hits.

The incident happened after Jadeja dismissed ninth West Indies batsman Sunil Narine caught by Ishant Sharma with the fifth delivery of the 34th over. After the dismissal, Jadeja was seen walking upto Raina and saying a few things which the Uttar Pradesh batsman didn't find amusing. Raina also replied and before things could get out of hand, skipper Virat Kohli intervened and told Raina to cool down. 

  Jadeja was apparently annoyed as Raina failed to judge a catch offered by Narine in his previous over. Jadeja may have also been unhappy that Raina didn't attempt for a Narine catch earlier which might have miffed the Saurashtra all-rounder.
After Jadeja dismissed the last batsman with the very next delivery, Raina walked upto Jadeja and tried to patiently tell his junior colleague a few things putting his hand around his neck. Later both were seen chatting and sharing a laugh while leaving the ground.

Miroslav Stoch won the 2012 FIFA Goal of the Year( Watch Video)

Fenerbahce winger Miroslav Stoch has pipped Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao and Santos star Neymar to the 2012 Fifa Puskas award. The Slovakia international found space on the edge of the box in Fenerbahce's league match against Genclerbirligi on March 3, 2012 and superbly hooked a volley into the top corner of the net following a set piece.

He saw off competition from Falcao's stunning bicycle kick, which came in second place, and an individual effort from Neymar, which completed the top three.

Stoch's winning strike was one of two goals he netted in an impressive 6-1 home win.

The 23-year-old attacker follows in the footsteps of players such as Neymar, who won the award for 2011, Hamit Altintop, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who claimed the inaugural edition.

The versatile attacker has been under contract with the Turkish giants since 2010, and previously turned out for clubs such as Twente, Chelsea and Nitra.

Watch Video of String Operation on IPL match Fixing

The IPL's governing council on Tuesday decided to suspend five players named in the TV sting for 15 days. The governing council also asked Ravi Sawani, the head of the BCCI's new anti-corruption unit, to conduct an inquiry and submit a report within 15 days.

The players who got suspended are TP Sudhindra (Deccan Chargers), Mohnish Mishra(Pune Warriors), Amit Yadav ( Kings XI Punjab) and Shalabh Shrivastava (Kings XI Punjab) and Abhinav Bali.
