India Played 1-1 Stalemate against Philippines in International Friendly

India drew 1-1 with Philippines in an international friendly held at the Kanchanjangha Stadium in Siliguri on Friday evening. A Sunil Chhetri goal in the 41st minute was cancelled out by Philip Younghusband in the very next minute as the two sides were made to settle for a draw.

India coach Wim Koevermans made as many as six changes to the side that started in the SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Championship final as Aibor Khongjee was handed a debut.

The Dutchman dropped the likes of Subrata Paul, Nirmal Chettri, Syed Rahim Nabi and Gouramangi Moirangthem from the IMG-Reliance contracted players, besides injured Arata Izumi and Jeje Lalpekhlua who was named on the bench.Hans Michael Weiß started with Philip Younghusband and Jeffrey Mallen Christiaens in attack with Stephan Schrock back in the side after missing the friendly against United Arab Emirates which they lost 4-0.

The home side dominated proceedings early on as Sunil Chhetri tested the Filipino goalkeeper Roland Muller first in the 11th minute and again in the 28th minute when the Indian skipper saw his shot saved and the rebound sent wide by Francis Fernandes.Philippines had a few chances of their own but Philip Younghusband was stopped in his tracks by a vital tackle put in by Khongjee at the half-hour mark.

Minutes later, Partick Reichelt's header was kept out by India goalkeeper Karanjit Singh while Schrock was marked well by the Indian defense.India took the lead in the 41st minute when a Mehtab Hossain corner from the left was met by a powerful header from Chhetri which found the back of the net.

However, the visitors equalised in the very next minute as a stinging shot from Philip Younghusband on the edge of the box flew past the Indian custodian.Philippines looked to take the upper hand in the second half, but Koevermans' men remained composed at the back.

In the 70th minute, Schrock played a one-two with Phil Younghusband while the latter's shot on the turn was easily collected by Karanjit Singh.Weiß's side could have pulled off a winner a minute before regulation time when P Younghusband's shot bounced back from Karanjit's hands, while Reichelt's attempt off the rebound drifted wide.

The Indian custodian had to remain alert to the repeated encrochments made by the away team, but had a well-organised defense that absorbed the pressure.

India also had a last minute opportunity to bag the winner in injury time, but substitute Jeje Lalpekhlua wasn't able to guide his shot on target after the chance was created by Clifford Miranda.

Bimal Gharti and Bangladeshi Hemanta Vincent to travel together for Netherlands

Bangladesh Under-19 football captain Hemanta Vincent Biswas and Nepal u-16 captain Bimal Gharti Magar has been given the rare opportunity to appear for a youth trial for Holland’s FC Twente following recommendations from Bangladesh’s Dutch coaches Lodewijk de Kruif and Rene Koster.

“At the moment we have a visa for Hemanta. He will go to FC Twente for a one-month trial. FC Twente is a very big club with a fantastic organization, a very good youth development department,” said Kruif at a media briefing yesterday. “It’s a very big opportunity for Hemanta and he can be an example for other players.

He will depart for the Netherlands within a week and will be accompanied by a Nepal Under-16 captain Bimal Gharti Magar,” said de Kruif. “It is very important for them to show their qualities and stay normal, stay humble and keep eyes and ears open and try to adapt to the level. We think that they have a chance. It would be a very big success if we can succeed over there,” de Kruif added. Hemanta said that he will try his best to seize the opportunity with both hands.

Nepal Vs India Friendly Football Match: Nepal National team started training

Nepal National team has started training together , however with little players due to absence of full squad.National Team has already started training together from Tuesday, however with just little players due to unavailability of Full squad. The players have been out of the valley as some are participating in Safal Pokhara cup while some are out of the town due to festival and family issues.

The training was done jointly with Nepal U-16 team in presence of little National team members which included Ritesh Thapa, Rohit Chand, Jumanu Rai, Rabin Shrestha, Bimal Gharti Magar.The All India Football Association has confirmed India’s friendly with Nepal in Chennai on November 19, coinciding with the second Constituent Assembly election. There are some speculations that the Friendly match can be shifted from Chennai to another Venue.

3rd Safal Pokhara Cup : Manang Marshyangdi to play Final against Three Star

Laxmi Bank Three Star club settles final place alongside MMC as second half comeback seals semifinal victory.The first goal in the game came very early from Hongkong Nepalese Football Association as Victor scored in sixth minute of the game. Hongkong Nepalese FA were awarded a penalty kick early in the game as Saroj Dahal fouled on Victor on his own box. Victor himself took the shot to find the net. 

The first half then remained a 50-50 for both the teams , however HNFA were in the advantage with early penalty shot.
Three Star club got an equalizer in 56th minute of the game as Prakash Budathoki’s shot from the six yards box kissed the left side of the net as TSC could level the score.
Three Star club’s evergreen man Dodoz scored to take his team ahead in 69th minute. Dodoz utilized Nirajan Khadka’s assist to find the target to get his team ahead. The goal remained decisive one as Three Star club came back from 1 goals behind to enter the final of the match.

Three Star club man Prakash Budathoki was adjudged man of the match. TSC will face MMC on Saturday in the final of the tournament. In the First semifinal played a day before,Manang Marshyangdi Club, continued their impressive form this season by claiming 2-1 victory over Army in an interesting match played at Pokhara Stadium.
Dipak Rai took the early lead for Manang before Raju Tamang equalized in penalty ending the half 1-1. The second half goal from Bishal Rai just before the closure of the match in 88th minute ensured MMC’s entrance in the finals.

Nepal International Defender Rohit Chand to train in Denmark

According to the one of the leading sports portal of Nepal goal Nepal that Nepal International Defender Rohit Chand has been invited for Training Cum Trial with Denmark's Super Liga  Club FC  Vestsjaelland. Roit Chand was in lime light after he missed Penalty against Afghanistan in the Semifinal of SAFF championship 2013.
Rohit Chand's brother Rabindra Chand confirmed  that Rohit would go to Denmark for two month training-cum-trial with FC Vessjaelland.  "We have already received an invitation letter from the club. Rohit will go there for training-cum trial"

"We are waiting for visa. As soon as Rohit gets the visa, he will move to Denmark the next day", said Chand. "We are covering air-fare expenses on our own. The club will provide accomodation there in Denmark. If he (Rohit) impresses the club, he will receive an offer". 
FC Vestsjælland, also known as FCV Vikings, is a professional Danish football club currently playing in the Danish Superliga. They play their home matches at Slagelse Stadion in Slagelse. 
The club has also invested in Shillong Lajong, Indian premier club. Some Indian internationals are also currently training with the club.
