Nepal Vs India Friendly Football Match: Match Preview and Head to Head

Nepalese football team will play against Indian side while people of Nepal will be casting vote for their favorite political parties here in Nepal.In the SAFF Championship Nepal had won against india in regular 90 minutes in home ground  by 2-1 and now will face India in Indian  home ground just 40 kilometers far from the Nepal Boarder Kakarbhitta.

Sagar thapa told  his team were looking forward to trump India again, for the second time in as many matches against the hosts.

“We want to play better than what we played at the South Asian Football Federation’s (SAFF) Chmapionship. We grinded out a 2-1 win and we want to do it better when we meet again on November 19th.” 



Though All Nepalese player had gathered for the training just a day before the Match Nepalese coach Jack stefenoski had trained seven members of the Squad in Kathmandu for more than a week. Seven Player who travelled from Kathmandu to Silguri are Ritesh Thapa, Tanka Basnet, Jitendra Karki, Rabin Shrestha, Bhola Silwal, Raju Tamang and Jumanu Rai. Other team mates will Join the Team from Sikkim who were there to play Sikkim Governer's Gold cup for their Club. Three player from the SAFF Championship have been changed as Bhola Silwal is in Army training while Bimal is in Kathmandu and Rohit Chand is in Netherland.Deepak Rai, Shiva Shrestha and Jitendra karki are new replacement of the Team.

In Other hand India is on fire after playing 1-1 draw against Philippines just three days before at the same Ground here India’s inspiring Captain Sunil Chhetri find the Equalizer for their Team. India will be looking to take the revenge of the Defeat they had in Nepal Two Months ago. The India will take this match seriously and is Training since long . India will be playing with the same squad as they played against Philippines.

Bimal Gharti and Bangladeshi Hemanta Vincent to travel together for Netherlands

Bangladesh Under-19 football captain Hemanta Vincent Biswas and Nepal u-16 captain Bimal Gharti Magar has been given the rare opportunity to appear for a youth trial for Holland’s FC Twente following recommendations from Bangladesh’s Dutch coaches Lodewijk de Kruif and Rene Koster.

“At the moment we have a visa for Hemanta. He will go to FC Twente for a one-month trial. FC Twente is a very big club with a fantastic organization, a very good youth development department,” said Kruif at a media briefing yesterday. “It’s a very big opportunity for Hemanta and he can be an example for other players.

He will depart for the Netherlands within a week and will be accompanied by a Nepal Under-16 captain Bimal Gharti Magar,” said de Kruif. “It is very important for them to show their qualities and stay normal, stay humble and keep eyes and ears open and try to adapt to the level. We think that they have a chance. It would be a very big success if we can succeed over there,” de Kruif added. Hemanta said that he will try his best to seize the opportunity with both hands.

Bimal Gharti Magar may play for Dutch Club FC Twente

Bimal Gharti Magar to Play for  Lierse SK, Belgium & Manchester United of England is all FAKE. Instead, confirmation from the one of the leading sport portal of Nepal  that Netherlands' club, FC Twente is interested in Bimal Gharti Magar.

"We would like to invite Bimal Gharti Magar, born on the 26th of January 1998 (PP no 05511457) for a test period at Football Club Twente for the period from November 10th until December 2013. If the coaches are satisfied about his performance during the first trial week, he will be welcome for a longer test period with a maximum stay till December 7th 2013. If the coaches are not satisfied, Bimal will return back home after the first trial week. The accommodation, food and tickets during and for this period will be for our cost and under our supervisions".

Interestingly, Bimal Gharti Magar is playing in 34th Governor's Gold Cup and the source added that he is yet to apply for the Visa. "This is a fantastic opportunity for Bimal Gharti Magar. If he is supported by ANFA in receiving VISA as soon as possible and sent to Netherlands, he can be a superstar", an agent involved in this project exclusively told
The agent said, "This is well informed to ANFA. But we haven't received any nod for his release".
FC Twente is a Dutch professional football club from the city of Enschede, playing in the Eredivisie. The club was formed in 1965 by the merger of 1926 Eredivisie Champions, Sportclub Enschede and Enschedese Boys. This Club was qualified for the  2010–11 UEFA Champions League.

Nepal International Defender Rohit Chand to train in Denmark

According to the one of the leading sports portal of Nepal goal Nepal that Nepal International Defender Rohit Chand has been invited for Training Cum Trial with Denmark's Super Liga  Club FC  Vestsjaelland. Roit Chand was in lime light after he missed Penalty against Afghanistan in the Semifinal of SAFF championship 2013.
Rohit Chand's brother Rabindra Chand confirmed  that Rohit would go to Denmark for two month training-cum-trial with FC Vessjaelland.  "We have already received an invitation letter from the club. Rohit will go there for training-cum trial"

"We are waiting for visa. As soon as Rohit gets the visa, he will move to Denmark the next day", said Chand. "We are covering air-fare expenses on our own. The club will provide accomodation there in Denmark. If he (Rohit) impresses the club, he will receive an offer". 
FC Vestsjælland, also known as FCV Vikings, is a professional Danish football club currently playing in the Danish Superliga. They play their home matches at Slagelse Stadion in Slagelse. 
The club has also invested in Shillong Lajong, Indian premier club. Some Indian internationals are also currently training with the club.

Nepal Women's Football Team to play Friendly against Qatar

 Nepal Womens  Football Team is now in Qatar to play two Friendly Matches against Qatar National women Football Team.ANFA bade Farewell to Women’s team who departed yesterday  for a pair of friendly match against the Qatar Women’s team.ANFA President Ganesh Thapa bade farewell to a Nepal Women’s team who left yesterday for a friendly match against Qatar Women’s National Team. A total of 21 members including 1 coach, Manager and 2 officials headed Qatar today. ANFA president Ganesh Thapa said , ” You have to make the brothers living in Qatar happy and give win as Tihar Gift for them”. Nepal to play International Friendly Match against India

All India Football Federation(AIFF) has confirmed Nepal Vs India Friendly Match to be played in Chennai in November 19 2013. India will take on Philippines on November 15 before taking on senior Nepali Team

AFC U-16 Championship qualifier: Nepal announced squad for AFC U-16 Qualifiers

Nepal U-16 squad has been revealed which will participate in the qualifiers starting  at Dasarath Rangashala.The team will be leaded by Nepal U-16 star Bimal Gharti Magar as Nepal will play the qualifiers under the captaincy of Bimal.Bimal have replaced the former captain Hemant Thapa Magar.

ANFA Honors National Team Players with Rs 2.5 lakh each

All Nepal Football Association honors National Team players for their good performance in SAFF Championhsip 2013. Nepal delivered outstanding performance in the 8th edition of the SAFF Championship 2013 held at the home. Despite of brave and brilliant display in Semi- final, Nepal had to suffer narrow defeat to satisfy as a semifinalist . 

All Nepal Football Association honors every squad member with an individual cash prize of Nrs 2,50,000 . ANFA president Mr Ganesh Thapa awarded the cash prize to the team members on behalf of All Nepal Football Association. ANFA have collected NRS 2,70,00,000 (approx) from the gate money in SAFF Championship which was held from October 31st to 11th September .

AFC U-16 Qualifier: Nepal U-16 beats Nepal u-19 in a Friendly Match


Nepal age Group football Teams U-16 and U-19 are preparing for the upcoming AFC U-16 and AFC U-19 Qualifiers. As a part of preparation both teams played friendly match against each other. Nepal U-16 team defeated Nepal u-19 team 3-2 in a friendly match played today at Nepal army Physical center, lagankhel on Friday.
In the match played infront of ANFA president Ganesh thapa Nepal U-19 took lead through a goal from Sulav maskey but Sunil gurung leveled the score for U-16.

SAFF Championship 2013: Live update of Nepal Vs Bangladesh

SAFF Championship 2013: Pakistan to be the First Team to arrive Kathmandu

Pakistan National Football Team will be the First Team to arrive Nepal for SAFF Championship as they will arrive Nepal on August 24. While another South Asian Giant will arrive Kathmandu in 26th August and Minnows Bhutan on 27th August.While other South Asian Teams will Arrive on 29th August. ANFA has arranged the accommodation for the Participating Teams in two different Hotels of Kathmandu Everest Hotel and Grand Hotel.


Nepal is hosting the SAFF Championship from 31st August to 11 September where eight South asian Countries are Participating. Nepal is now in Kuwait for the Training Camp while Pakistan just returned from Afghanistan after defeated by host Afghanistan.

Nepali Defender Rohit Chand to Join Training Camp in Kuwait.

Here is a good News for Nepali Football fans as the Defender Rohit Chand will fly Kuwait tomorrow to join Nepal National team in Kuwait.
The Persija Jakarta man has been given long leave by his club to join the team. It is now confirmed that he will be flying to Kuwait tomorrow to join the national team.

He will fly tomorrow from Indonesia in Qatar Airways at 5:45 local time which will be 7 pm Nepal time. Rohit Chand will miss couple of matches before the league ends one day before SAFF Championship Final. He will be missing the game against his previous club PSPS Pekanbaru.
Rohit Chand was in suspension in Indonesia Super League after he was booked in 79th minute in 1-0 win against Sriwijaya.

King's Cup 2013 Bhutan:Manang Crowned King’s Cup Title – Defeats Yeedzin

The 2070 Gurkha cup champions mark second title of the season as they win abroad in Bhutan to be crowned as Kings cup champions.

Manang Marsyangdi got behind in first half as early goal from Yeedzin gave home side a lead. The goal was headed by Chencho in fourth minute as it was placed beyond Ajit’s reach. The goal was equalized in 33rd minute by Bishal Rai as the first half ended level.

Manang looked more cautious in second half , looking desperate to win they fielded captain Sujal Shrestha in back line who move forward to initiate attack in many occasion. Yeedzin, in front of home fans came ahead in the game for the second time in 69th minute as Chencho Gyeltshen doubled his name in scorers list but unlucky for the Bhutanese supporters Manang had quick say leveling the score five minutes later in the form of own goal.

Manang quickly got ahead in after the equalizer as Shiva Shrestha scored for his team. Shiva joined MMC directly from National camp as he was left out from 25 men squad travelling Bahrain. Deepak Rai doubled the lead for MMC as his extra time score made the final score 4-2 as MMC came back twice from behind in the match to stun Bhutanese fans.

Hudson, who is preparing his team for forthcoming Gulf Cup, said that he was happy with the team's performance for Gulf Cup. Bahrain U-23 are just back from turkey where they played two friendly matches against turkish Super league sides.

"I'm happy with where we are but these coming days are crucial for us to affect certain areas and tidy things up," Coach Hudson told the GDN."We are just focusing on ourselves and making sure we are ready, fit, organised and as strong as possible."

"We now prepare for our Nepal game and will try to play one more friendly game for our second team on August 10," Coach Hudson said."We've got some pre-existing injuries to key players and we hope and will try to have these available for us by the time we start [the tournament]."
    The Bahrainis have been drawn alongside the UAE and Kuwait in group 'A' for the preliminary round of the Olympic Teams Gulf Cup. Group 'B' features Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.

SAFF Championship 2013: ANFA announced 25 members preliminary Squad

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) announces 25 members preliminary squad for the upcoming SAFF Championship 2013. 25-member team is travelling to Bhairan and Kuwait for a Training camp. Head coach Jack Stefanowski and Richard Orlowski have selected the players. Youth players like Ananta tamang and Bimal Gharti Magar are also travelling with the team. 
Nepal is hosting the SAFF Championship 2013 from September 1-11 in Kathmandu Nepal where eight south Asian countries will be taking Part. Nepal is placed withalong  India, pakistan and  Bangladesh in Group A.

SAFF Championship 2013: Nepal National Team Selection Today

ANFA will Select select 23-member-squad for the National Football Team on Saturday (today) before leaving for Bahrain and Kuwait for camps on Sunday. Nepal National team is touring Bahrain and Kuwait ahead of SAFF Championship and it is confirmed by official source.

     Nepal National team will leave for Manama, Bahrain on Sunday evening, close source confirmed sports portal of Nepal. Nepal will set up a 11-day-camp in Manama, Bahrain before going to Kuwait City on August 14. Nepal will then set up another 11-day-camp in Kuwait City before returning to Nepal on August 25. It is still unknown how many practice matches Nepal will play in Bahrain and Kuwait. Nepal is hosting SAFF Championship in Kathmandu from September 1-11.
Eight SAARC countries are participating in the championship. India are the defending champions.

Nepali Striker from USA joined National Team Camp

News has been floated few days back that Nepali striker Duo had been in Foreign Tour to Find the Talented football Player who can Join the National Team. It seems like coach had found the Striker in USA. The Striker who has been living in the United States of America since his birth have been training with the national team from last five days. His Name is Ajay Rana and hope he will be able to full fill the scarcity of Goal scorer in Nepal National Team. 


Ajay Smasher Jung Bahadur Rana, 21 year old Nepalese living in the USA has been training with the national team since last five days. We came to know that Ajay played University level soccer in the USA and came Nepal before 2 years to play from Three Star Club.Ajay had also joined national u-16 camp previously and is son of the Ajit Rana who left Nepal before two and a half decade. Ajay can’t speak in Nepali. Nepal is preparing for upcoming SAFF Champions 2013 which is scheduled to begin from September 1 in Kathmandu. Eight South Asian Nations will compete in League come knock out basis to win the Cup.

Nepal may take part in Banglabandhu Gold Cup International Football Tournament

Nepal have been invited by Bangladesh FA to participate in Banglabandhu Gold Cup Football Tournament. According to the football Portal of Nepal goalnepal All Nepal football Association (ANFA) had replied positively. Senior Vice President of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedi, BFF had sent Invitaion to eight country for the tournament but till date Nepal has been positive. 


Kuwait, Qatar, Bharrain, Malaysia, Thailand, Yemen, Pakistan and Nepal have been invited for the Tournamnet whch is expected to begn after the SAFF Championship 2013. Though Final date of the Tournament is yet not decided Tournament will take place in last week of September. According to the sources Thailand and Kuwait have asked BFF to shift the date by a week. Hope Nepal will get chance to play with some Asian Giant.
