London Olympics 2012 to be streamed online for free

f you are wondering where to watch the Olympic, your problem is almost solved as the every moments of the London Olympic will streamed online in your Mobile or PC.There will not be one moment of the Olympics that is left untouched.

One undeniable trend about the Olympics over the last eight years is that its presence in online and mobile platforms has absolutely exploded. In 2004, NBC launched a mobile website dedicated to people wanting to check out the latest medal counts and breaking news on their phone, but it was little more than truncated text and a few tiny images. This year, you'll be able to watch every moment of the international sporting event from your phone and notebook.
At least, that's what the BBC is planning to do. In case you were wondering, that's more than 2,500 hours of content. The broadcaster will offer a special video player on its website, chock full of 24 different live high-definition video streams.

In 2008, the BBC offered six streams. During a media event, BBC general manager Phil Pearnley was quoted as describing the project by saying, "The biggest single event we’ve ever seen was in the World Cup when England played Slovenia. Take that and double it – that’s what we’ve been planning for the Olympics."
In addition to the Web-based video player, the BBC will offer special apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Android. It will also deliver a special app for Internet-connected TVs as well as the PS3, Tivo, and even other platforms that the company hasn't confirmed yet. On top of all this, it will also have constantly updated Twitter feeds so that users who don't have the time to launch a video player will be able to get instant updates. The BBC is calling it "the first proper digital Olympics."

Today, NBC gave an inch.
The network announced that it would stream every single event and sport live for the first time ever, on NBCOlympics.com. That’s more than 3,500 programming hours, including the awarding of all 302 medals.

Chelsea defenders Cahill and Luiz fit for Champions League final

Gary Cahill and David Luiz are both expected to play Saturday's Champions League final against Bayern Munich after coming through a training session yesterday safe.

The fitness of both central defenders has been a major headache for interim first-team coach Roberto Di Matteo, who admitted that he was struggling to have an 18-man squad available for the final in Munich.
Chelsea is without the suspended John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Ramires and Raul Meireles, while Florent Malouda is no more than 50/50 because of a hamstring injury.
Gary Cahill

Yesterday was the first day that Cahill and Luiz have both trained with the rest of the first-team squad after suffering hamstring injuries last month. It appears that Di Matteo will risk both with first-team coach Eddie Newton suggesting that the starting XI had already been selected.
Cahill said: "This was my first session with the boys and it was good. Moving around, doing everything and, touch wood, no reaction. Thankfully it's healed quickly."
Luiz also looked to be moving easily at Chelsea's open training session and his fitness, in particular, will be a relief to Di Matteo, given his depleted resources.

Newton said of Luiz and Cahill: "It was something that we desperately needed. And to have both of them is a major boost to the squad. We are pretty clear on the team now, with four boys out and especially with the two boys coming through today."
Chelsea fly to Munich on Friday, and have made provision for a victory parade on Sunday should they win the trophy for the first time in their history.

'Drunk' SRK misbehaves with MCA officials at Wankhede after IPL Match

What do we expect from the people we respect and place them as our idol? We always expect them to be mannered and well discipline in all respect of Life but do we always get same from them.  Shahrukh Khan may have many times played the bad guy in the movies but in real life is always loved and adored by one and all. In the recent past Shahrukh has been in the news more for his controversial fights than anything else.
Yesterday Bollywood actor and Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan is said to have misbehaved with the MCA security personnel and officials when they tried to stop him from entering the Wankhede grounds at an IPL match. The MCA is all set to lodge a police complaint against him and also a complaint with the BCCI. One of the officials also accused Shahrukh of being drunk. They are also thinking of forbidding Shahrukh from entering the Wankhede stadium.
Well, we do hope everything settles down and the misunderstandings are sorted out.
SRK Cheering and pic speaks itself
"He (Khan) misbehaved and abused the MCA security personnel as well as MCA officials, including our president Vilasrao Deshmukh, after the IPL match (between KKR and Mumbai Indians). We have decided to ban him for life from entering the stadium in future," MCA treasurer Ravi Savant said.
Giving the background to what happened after the KKR's 32-run rout of Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede, Savant said Shah Rukh and his posse of bodyguards had gone up to the teams' dressing room and then came down and started to go on to the ground.

"The MCA security personnel told them they cannot do so as the match was over which led to Shah Rukh abusing them as well as the MCA officials. There was manhandling too by his people. We have decided to ban him from all future matches at the stadium. We are also going to lodge a police complaint against him," Savant said.
SRK with his fans
Asked whether the MCA would lodge a complaint with the BCCI over one of the IPL team owner's behaviour, Savant said all the altercation had taken place in the presence of IPL CEO Sundar Raman and BCCI's media manager Devendra Prabhudesai.
"Of course we will lodge a complaint with the BCCI also," Savant said.
Later KKR officials took Shah Rukh away from the scene but the MCA officials were left seething in anger and promised against the actor's rowdy behaviour.

Goal Line Tech to be used for next season of Premier League

Goal Line technology will be used in the Premier League next season, a report has confirmed.
The technology by Hawk-eye is being tested at the Hampshire Senior Cup final on Wednesday night while FIFA are expected to give it the go-ahead in July.

The system is unlikely to be ready when the Premier League kicks off in August, but Chief Executive Richard Scudamore has expressed desire to bring it in midway through the season.
"When we are ready to go, we can go with it. The law is not changing - that is still about whether the ball has gone over the line or not. We have never introduced a rule change mid-season, but there is no change of rule," the Daily Mirror quoted Scudamore, as saying.
Although he previously said that the technology will be introduced from the start, but in the light of the recent 'ghost goal' by Juan Mata for Chelsea in their FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham has called for the technology to be given a green light.
