One of the biggest sporting
even in Asia and in Cricket is Indian Premier League .IPL has gained so much
popularity not only in India
but all over the world where people know about cricket because this is a platform
where all the biggest names of cricket from
world get together at one plateform. Season
5 of IPL 2012 will be massive and it will all start with the players auction on
4th Fabruary 2012 and it will be interesting to see how this years event goes
about.
The IPL Auction 2012
promises to be as entertaining and interesting as the previous versions. Not
only will it present a chance to the teams to acquire players who are up for
sale, but also provide an opportunity to unassociated and contact-devoid
players to team up with a particular franchise. Most of the players of world
cricket and domestic cricket are still not a part of the million dollar league.
The auction will be a chance for them to get exposed to the frenzy and
excitement that IPL stands for. Also, chances of retribution of Pakistani
players are likely during the 2012 auctions of the IPL.
IPL 2012 Auction Dates and Format:
The player auction will held on February 4, 2012. Each player in the auction pool had a base price under which franchise owners could not bid. Players were allowed to set their base price between $200,000 to $400,000, this year several players didn't set their base price for the auction. English spin bowler Graeme Swann is the only player who has set his base price at $400,000 for the auction.
