Nepal topped the group ‘A’ of the ACC U-19 Women’s
Championship maintaining their winning streak in the tournament. Nepal defeated Thailand
by four wickets on Monday in their last group stage match at KOC Hubara Ground,
Kuwait.
Thailand won the toss and elected to bat. Nepali bowlers gave
a brilliant performance and restricted Thailand at 86/4 in 25 overs. S
Saengsakaorat top scored for Thailand
with unbeaten 34 runs.
In reply, Indu Barma scored
unbeaten 40 runs to guide Nepal
to 87/6 in 22.3 overs. Barma was declared player-of-the-match.Once Nepalese
girls seem to be under pressure losing three early wicket but Indu’s man of the
match performance brought joy for Nepali fans.
Nepal will face Bhutan in semifinal on Thursday.
