Maldives National Football
team coach, Istavan Urbanyi said that Maldives
could win the AFC Challenge Cup if they could play the same what they performed
against India in the
semifinal match of SAFF Championship football tournament held in New Delhi last year. Urbanyi
said, "We can win the Championship if we performed the same game",
Urbanyi said.
Maldives had lost to India 3-1 in
the 2011 edition of the SAFF Championship semi-final. India was leading 1-0 at half time before
Shamweel Gasim's wonder goal equalised for Maldives in the second half. But India then took
the lead with a penalty and then hit on the counter attack as they won 3-1.
Maldives are clubbed with Nepal, Palestine and
Turkmenistan
