Ex-Arsenal footballer Freddie Ljungberg is set to enter the
Celebrity Big Brother house later this year.
Channel 5 bosses are currently planning a second series of the hit
show for this autumn.
And it’s no surprise after January’s series, won by Loose Women
star Denise Welch, helped to boost the channel’s ratings to their highest ever
since it started airing in the 1990s.

The Daily Star reports that hunky Swedish football
player Freddie Ljungberg will provide the eye candy this summer. The newspaper
claims that Freddie was originally due to take part in the last series, but had
to pull out over clashes with his sports schedule.
“The man is unbelievably attractive and won’t just have the girls
hot under the collar,” an insider told the newspaper. “He’s a massive gay icon
so we know his male admirers will be desperate to spy on him in the house.
“And who wouldn’t want to share a house with him?

“The last series was fantastic. Now we want to build on that and
are looking at the best personalities out there.”
A Channel 5 spokeswoman told the newspaper: “Big Brother execs are
currently in talks with a number of celebrities but we are not confirming any
names at the moment.”
But before Celebrity Big Brother stars, there’s the little matter
of Big Brother 2012, which returns in May.
