AFC Challenge Cup 2012: Maldives Goes Down To Thailand Premier League Team In A Friendly Match


Maldives lost the third and final warm up match against Thailand premier league club. Maldives wrap up the Thailand tour with two loss and one draw. Maldives National Football team went down to Thailand Premier League team, Bangkok Glass FC 2-1 in a friendly match played on Saturday. 
Maldives had taken a lead in 16th minute through Akram Abdul Ghani's free kick. Bangkok Glass FC wasted a spot kick before the break. 


The Thai team appeared strongly in the second half and scored two goals to win the match.

Bangkok Glass FC finished 5th in Thai Premier League season last year.

Meanwhile, The Iron Man, Ali Ashfaq played the first match after recovering from knee injury.

Maldives are pitted with Nepal, Palestine and Turkemenistan in Group A of AFC Challenge Cup. Maldives will take on Turkmenistan at Halchowk Stadium in the opening day of AFC challenge cup. You can watch the match live on PC and get updates of every moment of the match in anantasports.blogspot.com
