Rudi Webster appointed as KKR's Mental Skills Coach


The Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders today announced the appointment of Dr Rudi Webster as the outfit's mental skills coach. Dr Webster, who hails from Barbados, has done pioneering work in the mental component of performance and the mental conditioning of athletes, informed team's director Joy Bhattacharya in a release here.

Dr Webster was the manager of the West Indies team in Kerry Packer's World Series of Cricket under the leadership of Clive Lloyd.
He has also worked with the national cricket teams of West Indies, Sri Lanka and India.
 Dr Webster is the author of the book 'Winning Ways: In Search of Your Best Performance'. His second book 'Think Like a Champion' (Harper Collins India) will be published shortly.
 Commenting on Dr Webster's appointment, KKR CEO Venky Mysore said, 'We are delighted to welcome Rudi Webster to our organisation. I am sure he will add to the strength of the terrific support staff we have and play an important role in taking KKR to the next level of performance.'
